RIDE Program

The Research, Invent, Design, Empower (RIDE) program connects real world challenges facing small cities and towns, our growing understanding of the underlying physics of drinking water treatment, and the broader AguaClara ecosystem that is designed to continuously innovate. Our ability to invent is based on our recognition that we have so much to learn about the underlying physics.

We identify research topics where new insights have the potential to benefit communities. We partner with university research teams to write proposals, conduct research, integrate new findings into the AguaClara Infrastructure Design Engine, and publish research findings. We also offer a junior/senior level design course called Safe Water on Tap which provides the theoretical basis for research.
